The Amazing Adventures of Jimmy Crikey (1/7)

Jimmy was an orphaned alien after his galactic Ambassador parents, who came from a distant star world, were overcome by Earth's diseases. This is the first book in a series of seven standalone fantasy/sci-fi adventures.

The baby was left in the care of a surrogate ‘Aunt Ethel ’, but as he grew up, he was ridiculed by the neighbourhood children because he looked different. As a result, a very unhappy Jimmy ran away to escape the bullies and in his midnight flight, he stumbled and fell into the magical underground world of Roombelow 

Courageous Jimmy rescued the town from the curse of a sleeping spell and was ‘adopted’ by Mr McDonald, the Mayor. Witch Matilda and Gemma, the little lady who lived at the bottom of the well, but didn’t know how she got there, became Jimmy’s best friends. Witch Matilda was head of the four witch guardians of Earth’s realms.

Jimmy had no magic, but he had a big heart and fearless bravery; when Roombelow was in danger of flooding, Jimmy found the sleeping Weather Wizard, Lord Oron, and turned off the torrent of rain. 

When the well in Roombelow dried up, Jimmy and Gemma teamed up to find the cause and returned a giant eel to its home in the sea.

Once settled in his new home, Jimmy returned to visit Aunt Ethel, who explained that he was an orphan from the star world of Attalia and that a starship hidden in the forest could take him back, but he chose to stay with his new family of friends in Roombelow. 

The acclaimed hero of Roombelow, Jimmy, battled in the snow-covered mountains with Erg, the chief troll and ended up in a cliff-side world where he discovered the Diamonites living in Lithnia, who looked very much like Gemma. He took Gemma to meet her family in Lithnia, but the Traders kidnapped her. It needed the assistance of one of Earth's Guardian Witches, Ira, before Jimmy set sail on a rescue mission. 

After the rescue, Jimmy decided to visit his birthplace – the star world of Attalia. The hidden starship automatically headed homeward but was attacked and destroyed by enemy forces on the way. The Attalian Rescuers’ Commander Zaru, plucked Jimmy to safety and befriended him. On Attalia, when Jimmy discovered he had no living relatives, President Alpha invited him to stay as his guest.

Kursh, the enemy of Attalia, attacked, and there followed a war waged with missiles, lasers and force fields. The Attalian forces thwarted the onslaught. To end the centuries-old war, Jimmy planned the destruction of the time warp, to close the portal between Ock and Attalia. Once continued peace was assured, Jimmy returned to his family of friends in Roombelow, where he was the honoured guest of Mayor McDonald. A hero with four witch friends, a mighty Weather Wizard, and Gemma, the little lady from Lithnia. Jimmy had found his forever home.
